Renter's Insurance

In 2015, the Department of Defense announced a major change that affected your Basic Allowance for Housing. The Fiscal Year 2015 National Defense Authorization Act eliminated Renter's Insurance as a component of BAH. As a result, Ohana Military Communities communicated that we would no longer be providing Renter's Insurance. This means that if you elect to have insurance, you will then be responsible for acquiring a preferred vendor and maintaining payments on your own. We encourage all residents to carry insurance which will cover your personal property and any additional property or liability insurance from all injury, loss, damages and liability from fire damage, water damage, theft, or any other cause.
